Pre & Postnatal Pilates Teacher Training

Mama Like Me pre & postnatal Pilates teacher training is exclusively for Pilates instructors and Pilates trainees who wish to fill in the blanks in their training and work with this growing population. MLM training is what clients need to do after physical therapy but before going back to their pre- pregnancy workout. MLM is a safe and efficient workout for moms. It’s all the best parts of Pilates with the specific ingredients for this special group of women. In this training, you will learn how to challenge your pre & postnatal clients in a safe and systemic way. You will learn all about the mysterious diastasis recti and how to check your clients for this common issue. Most importantly you will understand what you should NOT do with your pre & postnatal clients and what you MUST do with them.

As a graduate you will confidently be able to guide clients through pregnancy and the postpartum journey in a progressive and efficient way. MLM graduates assume an important role in the Pilates community. Your role is to inspire moms to be & new mothers to know more about their bodies during pregnancy and after childbirth and to carefully build their bodies for optimal performance for themselves and their families.

Weekend Training Includes:

  • 10-hour training

  • Full material and manual

  • Written & Practical test. 60 days to complete

Schedule-

Day 1

  • Prenatal basic anatomy

  • 3 trimesters- hormonal and physical changes

  • Do’s and don'ts

  • Modification in each trimester following beginner system add in intermediate to advance work

  • How to structure a session to your prenatal client

  • Q&A

Day 2

  • Postnatal basic anatomy

  • 4th trimester- hormonal and physical changes

  • Vaginal and C section

  • Diastasis recti and other common postpartum discomfort

  • Reactivate your core exercises

  • Modification following beginner system and add in intermediate to advance work

  • How to structure a session for your postnatal client

  • Q&A
